Reflow Recirculation Units
If you are looking for a kitchen ventilation system for a site where planning permission has been refused or where a duct route to the outside is not possible, then a Reflow recirculation unit is the perfect solution.
Due to their portability and design flexibility, they were developed with these tricky locations in mind:
- Pop-up & Concession Kitchens
- Stadium & Arena Hospitality Suites
- Basement and Underground Locations
- Listed Buildings
A Reflow recirculation unit works alongside our kitchen canopy in that the fumes, grease and odour are drawn up into our canopy and through the Reflow filtration tower which then returns clean, filtered air back into the kitchen.
Once the extracted air passes through the stainless steel baffle grease filters in our kitchen ventilation canopy, it is then fully filtered through a combination of stainless steel mesh filters, G4 pleated panel filters, HEPA filters and carbon filters in either 5 or 8 stages (depending on the size of the Reflow tower) and is then returned back into the kitchen through either the perforated panels or double deflection grilles located on the fresh air input plenum in our canopy.

The Reflow tower can even be sited remotely if space is limited on the cookline and as both vertical and linear configurations are available, this gives more scope to find a suitable location. Here is an example of a recirculation system we installed at a Private Residence in Belgravia, London whereby the only feasible location for the Reflow unit was in a redundant swimming pool in the basement!

Some design considerations must be taken when deciding if a Reflow recirculation unit is suitable for your kitchen:
- Reflow recirculation units are only suitable for commercial kitchens that use electric catering equipment exclusively
- As hot air is returned into the room, air conditioning and ventilation must be fitted to maintain comfortable working temperatures
Trivent Ltd have been specialising in the design of commercial kitchen ventilation systems since 1980, which basically means we have encountered all kinds of awkward design scenarios. If your kitchen location has you baffled and you’re not sure how to fit in a kitchen ventilation system, then contact us; we’re certain we can provide you with a solution!
