A long-term customer of ours recently requested us to test their existing extraction system on their front of house canopy, due to them wanting to swap out an induction hop for a flat-top griddle. The canopy was on their servery counter, which was a concern as it meant the possibility of smoke setting off the fire alarms if the existing ventilation couldn't cope with the equipment change.

Our detailed survey and testing found that their existing canopy was undersized and not achieving the correct airflow, so we manufactured a new, larger canopy alongside new sections of stainless steel ductwork to ensure compliance with HVCA Specification DW172. Airflows for both kitchens were then re-balanced and test figures recorded to confirm to our client that everything is now working as it should.

We pride ourselves in not only providing the full kitchen ventilation system package from scratch, but also modifying existing systems wherever possible, which is cost-effective for our clients and has the added benefit of encouraging sustainability.
