Hickorys Smokehouse, Thornton-le-Cleveleys
For this project, we designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned a brand new kitchen ventilation system for our client. All design and manufacture was completed in-house, with one of our experienced fitting teams installing the project, giving the quality end result that we are renowned for.
On this project, we had two front of house canopies which serve two chargrills and a pizza oven, painted in a specialist finish to give a rustic vibe to match the design of the restaurant.
This project provided its own challenges, not least having a very restrictive pitched roof space above the kitchen. Our design team managed to work with the existing building constraints given to ensure a compliant system in terms of system performance, LUX and noise levels, along with maintaining suitable access for future ductwork cleaning and maintenance, which is paramount to ensuring that grease can be cleaned away easily to reduce the risk of fire.
The main kitchen canopy, finished in brush polished stainless steel, started off life as an island canopy but our client decided to have both halves of the kitchen "screened off", which effectively split the island into two wall type canopies. Thankfully, having our own skilled manufacturing and design departments meant that this posed no problems for us!
